We have a very easy-to-use dripper in stock. It is what we often call a leave-it-alone dripper, and you can make delicious coffee just by pouring hot water into it for 30 seconds. There is no need to operate any switches, just grind the beans according to the recipe and pour hot water.

A similar product is the HARIO MUGEN, which uses Kalita Wave paper. The MUGEN works by placing the paper tightly against the dripper and extracting the coffee through the small gaps, but this product is designed to optimize the holes in the dripper and allow air to escape from the server after extraction so as not to impede the extraction.

No matter how well you optimize the holes, if the air pressure in the server through which the coffee drips increases, the air that has nowhere to escape will try to escape through the open holes, interfering with the extraction. This is particularly noticeable towards the end of the brewing process, when unpleasant flavors tend to appear, so to prevent this, we have provided a layer between the server and the dripper that allows air to escape.

In addition, the dripper has a double structure, which is designed to make it less susceptible to the effects of room temperature during extraction.

The recipe is super easy

  1. Place the paper in the dripper and blanch it briefly (it is often said that blanching is done to remove the smell from the paper, but it also serves to warm the entire device).
  2. Add 15g of ground coffee beans
  3. Pour hot water into the center of the dripper. There is no need to move it in a circular motion like is often done with drip coffee. Pour 230g of hot water into the dripper over 30 seconds.
  4. After 60 to 90 seconds, all the water will have drained out, so remove the dripper.
  5. ENJOY!

All you need is a kitchen scale and a timer to ensure that the speed at which you pour the hot water is consistent, minimizing any variations in taste that may occur each time you brew.

You can adjust the strength of the water to make it stronger or weaker, or to make the water run faster or slower.

  • Grind the beans coarser → they fall faster
  • Grind the beans finer → the rate at which they fall will be slower
  • Strong coffee → Use coarser grinds or lower the temperature of the water
  • Thin → Grind finer or increase the temperature of the water
  • Light roast: Higher water temperature is recommended
  • Dark roast: lower water temperature is recommended
