We have started carrying books by Scott Rao

When I look at coffee-related information overseas, there is a name that frequently comes up: Scott Rao. He has been involved in the coffee business for a long time, and recently he has been involved in consulting and education, so I wanted to read his books and the books he deals with.
So, when I tried to order it, the shipping costs were quite high, and it seemed to be selling for a pretty high price on Amazon too, so I decided to take a chance and tell Scott that I wanted to sell it in Japan, which he readily agreed to, and so we started selling it.
This book is of course recommended for coffee hobbyists who want to improve their own coffee, but as you can see from Scott's background, it is also highly recommended for professionals in the coffee industry and those looking to enter the industry.
The book we currently have available is The Phisics of Filter Coffee , in which astrophysicist Jonathan Gagne thoroughly examines the science of filter coffee (literally thoroughly! He delves deep into the grain of the ground beans), and is reminiscent of Yukihiro Tanbe's classic, "The Science of Coffee: Where Does Deliciousness Come From?", but with plenty of charts and data, it is a book that will satisfy even professionals.
And then there 's The Professional Barista's Handbook by Scott Rao. It's a book that condenses the many years of experience he has in the coffee business into one volume, and is recommended for those who want to improve their daily work or who want to further improve their work in the future.
Another classic is Coffee Roasting Best Practices . It is a book that summarizes how to derive the best roasting method based on a wealth of examples in coffee roasting. It is a must-have book for modern roasters, created to differ from Scott Rao's former roasting bible, The Coffee Roaster's Companion.
The list price of these books was reasonably priced at $45, but due to the recent sharp depreciation of the yen, and taking into account shipping costs, taxes, and processing fees, we have made a great effort to offer them at 9,900 yen per book, including tax and shipping.
It has a hardcover and the cover has a design that is unique to Western books, so it can also be used as a piece of cafe interior decor.
One thing to note is that it is a foreign book, so it is written entirely in English. However, these days it can be easily translated on your smartphone, and since it is a book made to be read by many people, there is no need to approach it with the same intensity as a typical thesis.
Since it is shipped from our roasting lab, it will be shipped within 3 business days after ordering, not the next business day like our affiliated warehouse. It will be delivered by letter pack or click post. You can purchase it in Okinawa Prefecture and remote islands at no additional charge!
