A high-cost performance home grinder has been released by FELLOW, a West Coast coffee equipment brand. FELLOW's grinders are famous for the ODE, which is also used in stores, but it is a bit expensive for home use and it took some courage to introduce it. OPUS has a plastic body and other cost-saving measures, and by using a conical type grinder blade, it has 41 levels of grind adjustment, from French press to espresso. It is the grinder I most recommend right now, and can be purchased for a budget of several tens of thousands of yen.

*This product comes with a 1,500 yen roasted bean coupon. The coupon code will be sent to you by email. If you order this product together with coffee beans, we will refund up to 1,500 yen from the total price of the coffee beans.

You can adjust the grind size by turning the dial on the front of the unit. Have you ever wondered which grind size is best for which recipe? The recommended settings are written on the back of the lid!

The lid is awkwardly divided, and if you look closely you can see one or two circles written on it. One circle is roughly 20g, and two circles is roughly 40g, so if you put beans between the circles you can get a rough idea of the amount.

Of course, you can also just put it on the scale and weigh it.

All you have to do is grind. You can specify the operation time by pressing the button. One time is 30 seconds, two times is 60 seconds, and three times is 90 seconds. If you have already weighed the beans, just press and hold the button and let it run until the beans are gone.

The operating noise is a bit annoying because the motor speed is surprisingly slow, so compared to the Kalita NEXT G2 which is 100, it feels like about 60. Because it's slow, it took about 35 seconds to grind 20g at the 3rd mark.

If you twist the hopper off, you'll find a fine adjustment dial inside. If you want to grind your coffee to a finer grain than the markings, such as for espresso, you can adjust it here.

It comes with a plastic receiving can for the ground beans, a lid for the receiving can, and a dosing cup to put in the receiving can, so it's a very complete package.

This dosing cup is also very well made, and is compatible with not only the standard 58mm basket, but also the Aeropress! The store manager uses a 58mm dosing cup for the Aeropress, but the diameter is slightly different and it has always felt difficult to use, so I wanted just this dosing cup.

When you put the lid on the receiving can, you might think that it's quite narrow and you need some skill to place it properly, but don't worry. There are magnets built into the receiving can and the bottom of the main unit, so when you gently approach it, it will be guided to the correct position. This gimmick is a WEBER grinder, isn't it? This gimmick of a grinder that costs about 300,000 yen to buy is installed in a grinder that costs 30,000 yen! (Please watch the video in the thumbnail list!)

If you want a good grinder, but once you go over 10,000 yen you suddenly enter the realm of 50,000 or 60,000 yen, then for anyone looking for a high-performance electric grinder that can be bought for a few tens of thousands of yen, this is one I highly recommend!

If you prefer a flat blade, we recommend Kalita's NEXT G2!
