Coffee Day

Apparently October 1st is Coffee Day. In Brazil and other countries, it seems that today is the start of a new term, so it's been designated Coffee Day. There are lots of articles about coffee in various media, so it's interesting to read them all.

We don't have any coffee offer, but we will introduce the beans that will be added (and confirmed) in the future. Please note that some beans have been significantly increased in price from new purchases, so we may adjust the price.

1. Costa Rica Don Oscar El Coyote Villalobos RH

Estimated price: 180g/2100+tax 210=2310 yen; 500g raw beans: 2750+tax 275=3025 yen

It has a long name. It is a Central American coffee bean that is the manager's favorite. Costa Rica tends to have relatively high-quality beans, but it is characterized by a complex aroma and various elegant flavors that are worth the price. Furthermore, it is processed using red honey. It is a honey process that is halfway between natural and washed processing methods, but is slightly more natural. It is dried with some of the pulp left on, so the flavor of the pulp remains, resulting in a rich taste.

It has a citrus and tartar flavor, and a refined acidity reminiscent of lime and white wine.

The importer is Wataru, a specialist in specialty coffee.

2. Kenya Rockburn AA

Estimated price: 180g/1700+tax 170=1870 yen: 500g raw beans: 2700+tax 270=2970 yen

These Kenyan beans are made with passion by a former consultant producer. The lot we purchased is a variety of beans called SL28, which is unfamiliar to most people. It is a variety of beans that is related to the Bourbon variety, and is resistant to the dry soil of Africa, and is characterized by its good flavor. It is also prized as a high-quality variety.

Kenyan beans are known for their strength. I wasn't sure how to describe this, but the strong flavor of Kenya is impressive whether lightly or darkly roasted. It doesn't have the chocolatey taste that tends to occur with dark roasts, but instead has a refreshing citrus aftertaste.

The importer is TYPICA, and this is the first time we have directly traded these beans.

We overcame numerous problems with the import, such as no containers being available and the equipment not arriving as planned, before it was delivered.

3. Ethiopia Conga G1

Estimated price: 180g/1700+tax 170=1870 yen : 500g raw beans: 2700+tax 270=2970 yen

From the beginning, we decided to sell several types of Ethiopian beans. One is Buna Buna, which has an overwhelming berry flavor. The other is Konga G1, which is full of lime and citrus flavors. (The other one is still in transit in Busan. Please wait a little longer.)

Because it is washed, it has a refreshing taste, but also has a fruity flavor reminiscent of Central American honey process coffee. It's a little different from mocha, but when you hand-drip it with a light roast, it spreads a refreshing aroma, and you might be hooked on the refreshing taste after just one sip.

The importer here is Wataru.

4. Yunnan Coffee

Estimated price: 180g/1500 yen + tax 150 yen = 1650 yen ; 500g raw beans: 2000 yen + tax 200 yen = 2200 yen

China is actually putting a lot of effort into the coffee business. Yunnan coffee is a prime example of this. I haven't done the cupping yet, so I can't tell you about the taste, but as soon as the lab is ready to receive the beans, I'll have them sent to me, and I'd like to share the greatness of these beans with everyone. Please look forward to it.

These are the coffee beans that will be on sale in the future. Newly registered products will be listed excluding tax. We will also notify you of the start of sales via our e-mail newsletter, so please be sure to sign up for the newsletter.
