These beans are processed using a relatively rare method called pulped natural. Generally, there are two processing methods: natural, where the coffee beans are dried with the fruit still in the fruit, and washed, where the fruit is removed under running water and then dried. Pulped natural is a method in which the beans are dried while leaving behind the sticky substance inside the fruit called mucilage. It is said to have the advantages of both natural and washed methods, and is further subdivided into various types of processing methods.

Pulped natural coffee beans are quite expensive because they require a lot of work, but this product is offered at a relatively affordable price. Pulped natural coffee beans are not often available, so please give them a try.

About green coffee beans

The green coffee beans we handle are specialty coffee with established traceability through coffee trading companies and agents ( please see this article for the requirements for specialty coffee ).

Usually, beans are traded for commercial use, so the trading unit is very large, and it is not possible to trade under an individual name. We sell these beans in smaller quantities. We also roast and sell the same beans.

Foreign bodies

When dividing the beans, we try to remove any foreign objects that catch our eye, but sometimes, for example, fibers from burlap bags get mixed in with the raw beans. Removing them completely would increase our costs, so we ask for your understanding that we may have to do so to a certain extent.

Regarding defective beans, we also have a discretion, so please use the number of defects as a guide only. For some varieties with many defective beans, we may increase the quantity.

Before roasting your own coffee, please check thoroughly for any foreign matter. We also recommend hand-picking.

Packaging Information

Our green beans are packaged in 500g portions. They are sealed in plastic bags and sent with some of the air removed. Unlike so-called vacuum packs, the beans are left with some room to move around. This is to prevent damage during shipping.

Storage

Our green beans are produced in sizes that can be used up in one batch, but if you buy 500g and use 250g at a time, for example, when storing them after opening, please transfer them to a storage bag with a zip lock and store them in a cool, dark place.
