The secret of 180g

Our roasted coffee is 180g. Why not 200g? I wonder. The reason is very simple: it's easy to use up.

Many recent coffee recipes call for 15g of drip coffee instead of 10g. So, if you make 200g, you'll have 5g left over. Some recipes call for 18g or 20g. I wondered how much coffee beans I could use exactly in my favorite recipe, and came to the conclusion that 180g, the least common multiple of 10, 12, 15, 18, and 20, would be ideal.

However, depending on how you measure it, you may end up with some left over, so this is just a guideline and we also put in 1 to 2g more than necessary.

As for how to use up the leftover beans, I recommend mixing them together. It's truly a once-in-a-lifetime blend. Please give it a try.
