About direct delivery from warehouse and full inspection
Share
Since our store does not currently handle a large volume of products, the products we purchase from wholesalers are first sent to a roasting lab where they are thoroughly inspected before being sent to our affiliated warehouse.
In terms of cost, it would be best to ship directly to our partner warehouse, but recently some manufacturers have had a high rate of defective products, and if we shipped directly, there was a possibility that these would end up in the hands of our customers. From our perspective, the occurrence of defective products would have an impact on our store, as it would wipe out all the profits from the order. Especially now, in a store that has just launched, we are buried in products and carefully check each one, thinking that inspecting all items is a must.
If we find a product that is suspected to be defective, we take a photo of it and ask the wholesaler if it is defective or not. So far, we have been told that the probability of it being deemed defective is about 50%, and the remaining 50% is within the acceptable range. In other words, this suggests that our checks are quite strict.
Of the products that are deemed acceptable, if we feel that they are "a bit too much," we purchase them but do not sell them. However, there are some products that we clean ourselves until they are acceptable, and then sell them.
For products that may be difficult to distinguish, we have added comments to the product pages, so we hope you will take a look at them when making your purchase.
